The Team

&Running Coaches
Our coaches come from all backgrounds and are all different speeds themselves, from elite to back-of-the-packers. All of us came into running later in life, so we understand the challenges of starting or re-starting a fitness or training program. We truly love running and the community it brings, and want to share it with you and celebrate your success along the way.

Leah W
Founder
Leah is the owner and founder of &Running, and also serves as a coach of many classes at &Running. Leah started running in college as a way to stay in shape, and fell in love with the sport. She joined various running and training groups while learning to be a mentor, pacer, and coach in various local programs. She enjoys racing any (reasonable) distance, but her favorite is the 10-miler.
Leah fell in love with the group atmosphere of spin classes while in graduate school, often wishing for a similar type of class on a treadmill. Writing these workouts on post-it-notes for herself and her friends to do on treadmills over the years, she set out to open &Running to create a space for runners to get all of their needs met. You'll catch Leah coaching all group classes at &Running, leading group race preps, and individualized coaching to our members. Leah is an ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor, and is a certified RRCA Coach.

Beth B
Coach
Beth’s journey from dancer to yoga teacher/runner was a circuitous journey. As a child, she trained pre-professionally as a ballet dancer and chose to study dance in college, where she was awarded scholarships two years in a row to study with the Jose Limon Dance Company. While in college, her studies focused heavily on anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, movement patterns, teaching movement to non-dancers, and crafting quirky choreography. She was and is keenly interested in the intersection between movement and music, which translates to her passion for running.
Beth always wanted to be a runner, but as a pre-professional dancer, didn’t have the time to commit and was plagued by overuse injuries from dance. However, towards the end of her college career, there was a plot twist and she found herself unable to pursue dance professionally. A little lost, she slowly began running as therapy: half a mile wog here, a mile jog there, eventually signing up for and completing her first race. When covid hit, she joined a running club and began to grow in confidence and her identity as a runner. (Hint: If you run, at any speed, you are a runner)! She is a certified yoga teacher, receiving her 200 Hour certification from Flow Yoga in 2014 and is pursuing UESCA running certification.
